Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends” has been renewed for a fifth season by Disney Branded Television. The news comes as Season 3 airs on Disney Jr. and ahead of Season 4’s summer debut.

Per Nielsen, in the last quarter of 2024, “Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends” was the second-most-watched streaming show among kids age 2-5, and remained No. 2 when isolating for boys 2-5. In that demographic, it beat popular preschool series “Paw Patrol” and “Cocomelon,” usurped only by smash hit “Bluey.” Overall, the series has reached one billion hours watched on Disney Jr. and Disney+, and on YouTube, it has hit 2 billion views across Disney Jr. and Marvel HQ’s channels.

“Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends” ranks among the top five best-selling preschool toy licenses worldwide, per Circana. The franchise extends to books and music, with Marvel Press releasing a “My First Comic” based on the series, Walt Disney Records releasing multiple soundtracks and the “Disney Jr. Live on Tour: Let’s Play” traveling stage show incorporating a Spidey segment.

Marvel’s first-ever full-length preschool series follows Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy and Miles Morales as they learn about teamwork, problem-solving and helping others by working with other superheroes to defeat their foes.

Disney Jr. and Marvel Studios produce in association with Atomic Cartoons, with executive producers including Harrison Wilcox, Bart Jennett and Chris Moreno. Becca Topol serves as producer and story editor while Steve Grover is supervising producer. Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump is the series’ composer and songwriter, and performs the theme song.

“‘Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends’ is what happens when two storytelling powerhouses — Marvel and Disney Jr. — come together to introduce the next generation to the world of superheroes,” said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television. “We love this show, and it’s been incredible to see how much kids do too. Team Spidey’s adventures aren’t slowing down anytime soon, and we can’t wait to bring even more stories, characters and action-packed fun for years to come.”

Marvel Television and Marvel Animation head Brad Winderbaum said, “Spider-Man is one of Marvel’s most iconic characters, beloved by fans of all ages for over 60 years. These characters can speak to audiences of all ages, and ‘Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends’ is a fun, vibrant entry point for kids to the wider Marvel Universe. There’s plenty more adventures ahead for Spidey, Spin and Ghost-Spider, and we’re excited to partner with Disney Branded Television on a fifth season.”
