Atomic Partners With Kidstart

 October 20, 2015

Atomic Cartoons is delighted to announce a three year partnership with KidStart mentoring program.  KidStart recruits and trains caring adults to coach vulnerable kids through the game of life. Through the gift of time, mentors help young people grow, thrive and connect with the community they call home.

Atomic’s goal with this program is to develop a deep relationship with one specific local non-profit organization that resonates with our crew members, to focus our charitable giving efforts to really make a difference and to create a program we can all take pride in supporting.

We asked our crew of 200 to submit suggestions for local charities that support children – we make cartoons after all –  and from there we narrowed it down to a shortlist of three options.  Next we held an informal pitch session led by the crew who suggested the top three submissions – and finally KidStart was chosen by an anonymous internal survey.

We are happy to announce that Atomic will donate $20,000 a year in addition to volunteer services over the three year period. To kick things off Jenny and Arnel from KidStart recently visited Atomic to talk to crew about the KidStart mentoring program and answered questions from crew members. We had a very engaged crowd!

We are all looking forward to collaborating around the holidays and for fundraising events like the Vancouver Sun Run. Stay tuned for future posts about Atomic Cartoons and KidStart!
