Kidscreen: Atomic Cartoons names new head of development

Vancouver, Canada-based Thunderbird Films has appointed Matthew Berkowitz as head of development for its subsiddiary Atomic Cartoons. In his new role, Berkowitz will develop and grow the studio’s slate of original properties and co-productions.

Call for Entries

Vision: To accept short animated student films from October 16, 2016 until August 1st, 2017, and review them with a small panel of prestigious judges. The three winners will be announced at our Kooks & Legends 3rd annual screening to be held in October 2017 in [location].

Objective: To engage and inspire animation students nationally and showcase their talent to the animation industry.

2nd ANNUAL KOOKS and LEGENDS: Animated Motion Pictures

September 28th, 2016

Kooks and Legends Part Two, which will be held on October 11 at 6:00 p.m. at the Rio, will be a 90 minute long look at a selection of rarely, or never seen, animated short films curated by Newland, founder of Vancouver’s animated film production company International Rocketship.
