Senior Linux System Administrator

We’re looking for a meticulous Senior Linux Administrator to join our team. Reporting to the IT Manager, you’ll work closely with both the technology and production teams ensuring that our Linux workstations and infrastructure run smoothly.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform day to day operations and maintenance of Linux servers and workstations
  • Develop efficient workflows for maintaining infrastructure
  • Monitor health of the application and environment, and act to return system to health when alerted
  • Interface with production staff to understand and improve artist workflows
  • Maintain existing Windows infrastructure where required, driving migration to open solutions where possible
  • Effectively contributes to building the overall knowledge and expertise of the technical team
  • Automation of all deployment tasks using tools such as BASH, Python, Ansible, SaltStack
  • Writes and maintains technical documentation
  • Design and Integrate Linux into Virtualized Environments

What We’re Looking For

  • Exceptional Linux knowledge and experience (10+ years)
  • Capable and knowledgeable software engineering experience, preferably with proven experience developing tools with bash, Python, git and Ansible
  • Proven track record implementing and driving adoption of devops tooling such as Hashicorp Vault, Docker, Kubernetes, and Xen/KVM
  • Experience with Isilon storage and Arista network switches, or equivalent
  • Experience with basic Windows Administration
  • Experience with VMWare ESXi (vCenter) Administration
  • Experience with Java based Web Application Servers
  • Experience with NGINX / Apache / ELK Stack
  • Experience supporting a 24/7 environment
  • Nice to have: Experience with cloud integration
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills including well developed verbal and written English
  • Possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal direction
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking / innovation
  • Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Familiar with fundamentals of IT security, hardening practices, and security management
  • System failure analysis and recovery. Ensuring system consistency and integrity
