Internships

Our interns contribute to current productions and development projects within the studio.

Atomic Cartoons is a thriving animation studio with a history of super successful productions. A large part of Atomic’s purpose (besides making awesome cartoons) is to provide an invaluable working experience, encourage an ongoing learning process and foster the shortterm and longterm career goals of its enthusiastic and dedicated team. Interns are given the opportunity to share and apply their skills and knowledge while working alongside industry professionals of varying experience and backgrounds. Each intern is assigned their own workstation, tasks and deadlines whilst under the supervision of supportive and approachable crew and Line Producer. Atomic Cartoons offers five paid creative internships per year, each is four weeks in length.

What you get

Upon completion of your internship, you will walk away with an ‘Atomic Cartoons Internship Certificate’... it’s what’s trending right now! Not to mention, a written performance review from your supervisor or Line Producer, industry contacts and a reference from Atomic Cartoons. If you are eligible for available contract positions at the end of your internship, we’ll interview you for employment at Atomic Cartoons.

Additional perks

While bonuses such as an ‘all inclusive vacation’ and a pimped out station wagon have not been in previous annual budgets, our team are rewarded by such treats as: Bagel Tuesday’s, monthly pizza parties, lunchtime screenings of current productions and discounts at local cafes, restaurants and even a bike store!

Are you the next Atomic intern?

The Atomic Cartoons Internship Program requires you meet the initial selection criteria outlined below. If you meet that criteria download the correct form and get started. Each approved intern must be available fulltime (40 hours per week) for four consecutive weeks and while we’ll do our best to work with applicants’ start dates (noted on the application form), awarded internships will expire within six months of date accepted (agreed by signed contract).
